Cyclohexane is an organic compound found in the form C6H12. It is a colorless, pungent liquid, insoluble in water, but soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene, acetone and most other organic solvents. Cyclohexane occurs naturally in petroleum, generally at a concentration of 0.5% to 1.0%.
Cyclohexane is mainly used in the industrial production of nylon precursors - adipic acid and caprolactam. In addition, it is often used as a solvent, paint remover and other chemical raw materials, in industrial coatings, adhesives, organic synthesis and other fields have a wide range of applications.
